12 years ago as a single mom I bought a bright, sunny Sugarhouse Bungalow filled with character. I fell in love with the quiet street and privacy - it has the benefits of a corner lot without the traffic. The upstairs open floorplan has plenty of space for entertaining with a living room, dining room and kitchen all connected. Downstairs, the two bedrooms and full bath with den and extra storage was the perfect place for friend-dates and sleepovers. There is a private, quiet back yard, a 2-car garage, and a spacious front porch to watch the world from with friends.  Each year I took on a new project: Roof replacement, new furnace and a/c, new water heater, hardwood floors, expanded primary suite for a king bed and wall-to-wall closet, xeriscape front and back with drip system, subway tiles, stainless appliances - well, you get the picture.   When my kids grew up, I lived completely on the first floor. The downstairs with its private entrance became the perfect guest suite. I might have stayed forever, but after a couple of false starts I finally found the right life partner. For the past 3 years this has been a fantastic, low maintenance rental property. The MLS photos are from when I moved out. The lease ends in September, and it is time for me to move on and give someone else a turn to own this gem of a home.
